Our Only May Amelia

    I just finished reading the book, Our Only May Amelia. It takes place in 1899 in the Nasel(now Naselle) Settlement in Washington State.  May Amelia Jackson is the main character.  She is twelve years old and has SEVEN brothers!!! She is not ladylike: May likes climbing trees, going fishing and almost never wears dresses. 
  When she goes to Astoria,Oregon down the river to live with her aunt and uncle, May makes a couple friends.  One of them is Emma Saari.  Emma has Finnish relatives like May and the two get along fine even though they are very different. For example: Emma does not have seven older brothers or live in the middle nowhere and ecspecially, she is very ladylike.  Emma and May go to a dance.  When they get back home,  May's dress is all muddy and dirty! 
     What happens next?

Hi! It's my first blog of the year!  Right now, I am reading The Student Encyclopedia of the United States.  It is SUPER thick and heavy!!! I'am not reading the whole thing, just the interesting parts.
